Reflective Medicine Class
Learning the Skills Which Allow Us To
Directly Perceive the Person
Originally designed for Chinese medicine students, but now open to the public... this four class series is designed to teach the basic witnessing skills of a traditional medicine person.
The skills covered in this class are:
Pulse Diagnosis
Did you know that a great deal may be understood about your health from feeling your pulse alone? In traditional medicine systems, the pulse was evaluated for much more than just its rate! From a careful discrimination of the qualities of the pulse wave, insight may be gained about the various organ systems, emotions, and more! In this class, we will learn about the basic qualities of the pulse which may give insight into the inner workings of a person.Constitutional Assessment
While each individual is unique, there are patterns of what humaness may show up as. From the roots of the body to the sways of the mind, there are themes of personhood that we fit into. In identifying the constitutional tendencies of a person, we gain insight into where our strengths and imbalances are likely to be so that we may encourage our own greatest living potential.Tea Medicine
Once we learn to percieve, then we can learn to intervene. In this class, we will pour gongfu style Chinese tea to assist a person's body and mind.
