Root & Branch Accepts Insurance
How it works:
We will need to verify your insurance plan’s coverage of acupuncture and other Chinese Medicine therapies BEFORE YOUR VISIT. So the best way to make that happen is for us to collect your insurance information and do some digging. Even if we are not in-network with your carrier, you may still be able to use your benefits but submitting the charges for service in the form of a “Super Bill”.
For a preliminary insurance check, follow these easy steps:
Take a photo of your insurance card front and a picture of the back
Email those photos to info@rootandbranchpdx.com
Include your name, date of birth, and the condition for which you are seeking treatment in the email
Schedule your appointment by clicking here or by calling us (971-288-5939)
Once we have received your email, we will call your insurance company to verify your benefits. We will then email you to let you know if your visit is likely to be covered. Please allow 2-3 business days between sending your information and the start of your first appointment. Working with various companies takes time to get all the information together.
Understand that insurance is a complex component of our healthcare system and though you may have coverage for acupuncture in your plan, it may only cover treatment for certain conditions and may also have limitations to the total number of treatments available to you in a calendar year. We want to make sure you have all the necessary information before we get started so that you know what to expect with regard to payment, but ultimately the responsiblity for understanding your insurance coverage is yours.
Remember, any dollar amount not covered by your insurer will be your responsibility to remit to Root & Branch in a timely manner. We can work with you to ease that payment process, but it is imperative to know what the field looks like before starting the game.
If you are unable to scan or photograph your insurance card and email it to us, you can always stop by the shop and we can make copies in person.
